Short answer
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA on every page, in English and Spanish. If anything is hard to use, email partners@leadpipehelp.org with the page and the problem and we’ll fix it or send you the information another way.

What we do
- Plain language, written for about an 8th-grade reading level.
- Works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Headings, labels and landmarks for screen readers; photos have English and Spanish alt text.
- The countdown is not announced over and over by screen readers, and it shows days only if you’ve set your device to reduce motion.
- Text scales up to 200% without losing content, and the colors meet AA contrast.
How we test
Before each update we run automated checks (axe-core and Lighthouse) and check keyboard use by hand. Last checked . Automated tools can’t catch everything, so we welcome reports.
Known limits
- Official utility and government pages we link to are outside our control and may not be accessible.
- The printable checklist PDFs are simple, but they haven’t been fully tagged for screen readers yet. The same content is on the checklist page.
